A Plot Motif is what is usually associated with a specific genre of film, in this case a thriller.
These include:
-Bad things happening to good people.
-Murder which is suggested not shown.
-An inciting event.
-Misleading suspicion.
-Secretive, Psychological gamesmanship.
-Entrapment.
-Personal fears and phobias.
-Being out of usual circumstances.
-Environmental disruption.
-Work.
